The Masala Idli can also be a part of the tiffin boxes of school going kids. Idli is a South Indian snack, which is most popular all over India and Masala Idli is a healthy and tasty variation of Idli because while preparing Masala Idli I have used Chana Dal, Urad Dal, French Beans, Carrot and given a spicy Tadka. The Idli batter is prepared by soaking Rice and Urad Dal separately for 7-8 hours and then grinding it together and keeping it aside for fermentation for 7-8 hours.
